Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Track Wiser, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service. We may update these terms from time to time — continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
2. The Service
Track Wiser is a personal finance application that helps you track expenses, manage wallets in multiple currencies, set budgets, split group expenses, and receive AI-powered spending insights. The service is provided "as is" and we make no guarantees about uptime, accuracy of exchange rates, or AI-generated advice.
3. Your Account
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for keeping your password secure. You must be at least 16 years old to use Track Wiser. One person may only maintain one account.
4. Plans & Pricing
Track Wiser offers a free tier and a paid Pro+ subscription:
- Free — one wallet, one group, 5 budget category limits. Free forever.
- Pro+ Monthly — €2.99/month. Unlimited wallets, budgets, groups, and AI features.
- Pro+ Annual — €19.99/year (save 44%).
- Lifetime — €49 one-time purchase. Limited to the first 100 founding members.
Prices are in euros and include applicable VAT. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing subscriptions continue at their current price until renewal.
5. Billing & Payment
Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically. You can cancel anytime from Profile & Settings — your access continues until the end of the current billing period. We do not store your card details; all payment data is handled by Stripe.
6. Refund Policy
- Monthly subscriptions — no refunds. Cancel anytime; access continues until the period ends.
- Annual subscriptions — full refund within 7 days of purchase.
- Lifetime plans — full refund within 14 days, no questions asked.

7. What Happens When Your Subscription Ends
If your Pro+ subscription expires or is cancelled, your extra wallets, budgets, and groups are locked but never deleted. You retain access to your free-tier allowance. Resubscribe at any time and everything unlocks instantly. Lifetime members are never affected.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the service. This includes but is not limited to: attempting to gain unauthorised access, interfering with the service's operation, using automated tools to scrape data, or using the service for illegal purposes. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
9. Intellectual Property
Track Wiser and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Track Wiser and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Your financial data belongs to you — we claim no ownership over it.
10. Limitation of Liability
Track Wiser is a budgeting tool, not a financial advisor. We are not liable for financial decisions made based on information displayed in the app, including AI-generated insights, exchange rate data, or budget projections. To the maximum extent permitted by EU law, our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from Profile & Settings. This permanently erases all your data. We may also terminate or suspend your account if you violate these terms, with or without notice.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the applicable laws of the Czech Republic. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Prague, Czech Republic.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notification at least 30 days before they take effect. The "Effective date" at the top of this page indicates when the terms were last revised.
